Attendance Policy

  1. Each training group has specific attendance requirements appropriate for the objectives of that group. As a general rule, the least possible interruption in the training schedule will produce the greatest amount of success. The club does, however, encourage younger swimmers to participate in other activities in addition to swimming.
  2. Please be aware that training session schedules often change around swim meets.

Swimmers' Responsibility

  1. As a swimmer’s level of swimming ability increases so does his/her responsibility. The program is designed to encourage all swimmers to be Senior Swimming bound.
  2. A swimmer has responsibilities to the team, the coach, his/her parents, and most importantly to themselves.
  3. Swimmers need to prepare themselves to give 100% effort each time they come for training.
  4. Swimmers are expected to bring specified training equipment (i.e., goggles, flippers, etc.) to training.
  5. Swimmers are to ensure their equipment is adjusted before the training session and that spares are readily available.
  6. Equipment adjustment and repairs are not acceptable reasons to miss part of a training session.
  7. Staying the entire traning session is encouraged. The last part of the training session is very often the most important. Usually, there are important announcements made at the end of each session.
  8. If a swimmer must leave the training session early, please notify the coach before the beginning of the session to minimize disruptions.

Behavior during Training Session

  1. Maintain a cooperative and respectful attitude toward the coach.
  2. Maintain conversational voice levels.
  3. Be escorted to the pool deck by a parent and ready to begin practice on time.
  4. Swimmers should be in the pool area with all necessary equipment, ready to begin training at least 10 minutes before commencement of training session. This will allow for proper stretching. Coaches will also use this time to give pre-training instructions.
  5. NO running on the pool deck.
  6. NO diving without a coach’s permission at any time.
  7. NO pushing or shoving another person either in or out of the water.
